Tim Solinger, CPRW
Following a 20+ year career in marketing, publishing, education and university advancement, Tim Solinger founded Great Impressions Resume & Career Services in July 2007. Tim's sincere interest in helping individuals achieve their career goals and his lifelong interest in resume writing inspired him to launch this enterprise.
Earlier in his career, Tim's resume writing was focused on helping co-workers, including professionals and managers, update and strengthen their resumes as a part of new business presentations and project bid proposals. Now with Great Impressions Resume & Career Services, Tim is making his skills and experiences available to anyone interested in creating a resume or improving an existing one, from new graduates to career changers to senior-level professionals, managers and executives.
In providing his services to clients and as a nationally certified resume writer, Tim blends first-rate resume writing skills with an in-depth understanding of personal branding techniques. His goal is to apply his expertise and knowledge to help accelerate clients' ability to secure interview opportunities and job offers.
When it comes to resume preparation, Tim's philosophy is simple: Each client has a unique set of skills, experiences and qualifications and deserves a personally branded, outcome-based, value-projecting resume that reflects this uniqueness. In addition, Tim is 100% committed to client satisfaction, and as a result strives at all times to meet and exceed client expectations.
Tim is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a B.A. degree in English and is a licensed secondary school language arts instructor. He has taught writing at both the high school level and in a university adult education program, and he has presented resume and cover letter writing seminars at several technical college campuses.
Tim has been interviewed about resume trends and resume writing by U.S. News & World Report, WAOW TV 9 (Wausau, Wis.) and the Stevens Point Journal.
Tim holds the certified professional resume writer credential (CPRW) from the Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches, and he is a member of the Career Management Alliance and the Portage County Business Council.
